Sunday Snippet #12

Where he gets schooled on jewels…

Welcome to another edition of Sunday Snippets.  If you have not read the previous Sunday Snippets, I recommend doing so first.  You can find them here:

Where he goes for a walk…
Where he meets up with a friend…
Where he starts to open up…
Where he gets some advice from a friend…

 Previously on Sunday Snippets:
Graeme, knowing he must apologize to his wife, is receiving advice from his friend Stryker on how to issue an appropriate apology.

“You could surprise her with her favorite jewel,” Stryker suggested as Graeme caught up to him on the footbridge.  “You do know her favorite jewel, don’t you?” he asked, turning to face Graeme with narrowed eyes.
Graeme frowned, thinking back over all the interactions he’d had with his wife.  “I’ve never seen her wear naught but a string of pearls.”
“Bah!” Stryker scoffed, dismissively waving his hand in the air.  “Most ladies of my acquaintance have an affinity for diamonds and rubies.  Pearls are for debutantes and virgins.”
“And we know the ladies of your acquaintance have not been either for quite some time.”

And….it’s officially November!  Only eight and a half weeks until the December holidays and nine and a half weeks until the New Year.  Time is just slipping past at what feels like an incredibly fast pace.

I will keep this short and sweet.  For those who are doing NaNo this month, good luck to you and I will see you in December!  For those not participating, there are still some fabulous writers and snippets to be found on the WeWriWa website!

As always, comments and questions are welcome!  I love interacting with everyone, and if you would like more of a conversation, I can always be found on Facebook and Twitter.

Happy Reading and I’ll see you next week!
