Where he comes to a realization…

Graeme realises his valet is more than just a valet, he is a master at what he does and takes great pride in his work, even if he is too serious by half.

“Tell me honestly, Bryant,” Graeme said lifting a little pot from the table before removing it’s lid and bringing it close for a sniff. He was met with the scent of citrus and something else he couldn’t recognize…something richer. Smooth and warm, it was almost exotic in nature and he sniffed it again in an attempt to identify it. “Will you ever tell me what magic potions are contained herein?”

“Of course not, Your Grace,” he said with an affronted air, gently removing the pot from Graeme’s hands and placing it back in it’s proper spot on the table. “What sort of valet would I be if I gave away all my secrets,” he said, lifting his eyebrow in a supercilious manner, but Graeme noticed the mischievous look in his eye and it took a moment for him to realize the older man was toying with him.
“Why you old devil,” Graeme said smiling, pleasantly surprised, “there is a sense of humor under there after all.”

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  I spent the holiday on a three day whirlwind trip back to New York to visit my Sister and the babies for Fave Niece’s first Christmas. I’m glad to say that Fave Nephie remembered me and gave me big wet baby kisses!  And I’m sure Fave Niece has fond memories of me as well since she kept smiling at me. The fact that she smiled at everyone has no bearing on her memory of me. ;)
