Where she reads the missive…
If you have not read the previous Sunday Snippets, I recommend doing so first. You can find them here.
Previously on Sunday Snippets: After not speaking to each other after a rather disagreeable incident, Delaney receives a note from her husband.
*****
Theatre after dinner, dress appropriately.
Delaney stared at the bold script for several moments before flipping the missive over, looking for something else, anything else. A signature, a salutation…an apology.
She laughed and the sound was bitter to her own ears.
What made her think he would offer an apology when his only communication to her in the past four and twenty hours was a directive to dress appropriately? Anger made the words on the page blur.
Dress appropriately? Oh, she would show him how to dress appropriately.

Uh-oh. I get the feeling that Delaney is up to something. Whatever could it be? I guarantee it is not what the duke expects! They may have a marriage of convenience, but that doesn’t mean it is necessarily convenient…
Thanks for the kind words last week everyone! I truly appreciate the support. Last week’s declaration was not in anyway a slight against WeWriWa or any of the wonderful writers there. It is a promise to both myself and my readers that I will do nothing but produce the best product that I can.
My goal here is to have my work published, whether by traditional means or on my own. I will be pitching this story and representing myself in less than two months time. If all goes well, they will be interested and may even take a look at this page and these snippets. It is the place to let myself shine!
As always, questions and comments are welcome. Don’t forget to stop by the WeWriWa page for more snippets by more writers. They’ve recently started cataloguing them by genre to make it easier to find what you are interested in.
Happy reading and see you next week!
