Where he desires his wife…
If you have not read the previous Sunday Snippets, I recommend doing so first. You can find them here.
Previously on Sunday Snippets: Graeme, awaiting his wife in the foyer is stunned speechless when she finally descends the stairs.

“I’m sure you will not disappoint,” he said as he let his gaze wander over her features. There was something different about her tonight, a maturity that he hadn’t noticed before. A light dusting of powder had been applied to her face, but he could detect no other cosmetics which pleased him inordinately: his duchess was beautiful enough to not need any enhancements.
She licked her lips and his eyes were drawn to her mouth – her eminently kissable mouth.
Twin golden eyebrows knit together and a gentle flush crept up into her cheeks making Graeme realise he’d been caught staring at his wife.
Clearing his throat he placed her gloved hand on his arm, giving it a little pat before handing her into the waiting carriage. Settling into the seat beside her, Graeme could feel the warmth of her body where it was pressed against his, even through all their layers of clothing.
It was all he could do to not drag her into his lap and kiss her senseless.

Oh, if only Delaney knew what was going on in her husband’s mind. This battle of wills between them is headed in two separate directions – retaliation for a perceived slight and desire – and they don’t even know the other is fighting an opposite battle. The thing with those two emotions, they are very closely related in one respect: passion. I know where this is headed, you know where this is headed. Too bad neither Delaney nor Graeme are aware of it!
It’s going to be a busy week in this writer’s house. While I will be on vacation from the Day Job, that just means I’ll be doing extra work writing. I have two exciting blog posts lined up this week and am hoping to have them up Tuesday and Saturday.
I say “hoping to” because Fave Niece and Nephie are in town this week! Okay, so are Dearest Sister and BiL, but it’s not the same with them as it is with the wee little ones. I have a week to enjoy with the babies and I will spend as much time playing and loving them as I can. So, that being said, I’m planning the two additional posts as well as next week’s snippet, but if I disappear for a week, I’ve been taken hostage by babies. ;)
Once again, this Snippet is brought to you courtesy of the Weekend Writing Warriors blog and the Snippet Sunday Facebook page. Make sure to stop by and read some fantastic writing by fantastic writers. Until next time…
Happy reading and I’ll see you next week…I hope!
