Sunday Snippet #33

Where they are not alone…

If you have not read the previous Sunday Snippets, I recommend doing so first.  You can find them here.
Previously on Sunday Snippets: Graeme and Delaney arrive at the theatre. Delaney, while taken in by the sights, is shocked when they enter what she thought was a private box.

“Good of you to finally show up, Claremont,” a well dressed gentleman stepped forward and clapped her husband on the shoulder. “We were just getting ready to place a wager on whether you would show or not.”
“I’m a duke now,” Graeme said lightly, a roguish smile playing about his lips, “it’s my duty to keep you lot waiting.”
Graeme gently squeezed her shoulders in what she was sure he thought of as a reassuring manner, but in reality did nothing but bring awareness to the fact that four very curious sets of eyes were all focussed on her.
“I see you’ve brought a jewel with you this evening,” he said eyes on Delaney. Reaching out he grasped her hand and, bowing over her fingers, raised his gaze to her and gave her a flirtatious wink.
“Indeed,” Graeme said, smoothly removing her hand from his and bringing it to his lips. “May I present my wife, the Duchess of Claremont.”

Now who have we here?  And why is he flirting with Graeme’s wife?  And why is Delaney so nervous to meet his friends?  I guess you’ll just have to wait until next week to find out!  I know, I’m mean… :)
Not much to say this week.  It’s Conference Weekend and it has been super busy!  There so much going on and so many new friends and connections made. Be sure to tune in later this week for a details about what went down.
As always, comments and questions are always welcome. For more great writing by great writers, be sure to visit the WeWriWa blog and visit the Snippet Sunday Facebook page.
