Sunday Snippet #11

Where he gets some advice…

If you have not read the previous Sunday Snippets, I recommend doing so.  You can find them here:

Where he goes for a walk…
Where he meets up with a friend…
Where he starts to open up…

Previously on Sunday Snippets:
After admitting to his friend that he may have over reacted, Graeme’s mood is momentarily lifted until he remembers what set his mood so foul.

“Get her a gift,” Stryker said distractedly, opening his umbrella against the increasing rain.  They turned the corner to cut across St. James Park.  “All women love jewels and her favorite sparkly bauble should get you back into her good graces…and her bed,” he said with a smirk.  “And nothing says ‘I’m sorry’ like hothouse roses in the dead of winter.”

He spun around and walked backwards a few paces, his arm outstretched until Graeme stopped.  “Just not red roses,” he went on in all seriousness.  “God forbid your wife thinks you love her,” he chuckled, spinning around and continuing on through the park.
No, Graeme thought ruefully as he started after his friend, mustn’t ever let her think that.

Not much to report today, this snippet pretty much speaks for itself. This is a fun few weeks for me, sharing the gentlemen with you. While it sounds conclusive, this scene does continue, so please stop back again next week!
Halloween is coming at the end of the week and with it’s close comes the first day of National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo). I will not be participating in NaNo this year for various reasons, and so I will continue to post my Sunday Snippets. There are a few more weeks of Graeme and Stryker and that should get us through to December.
As always, comments are welcome and for more great snippets by great writers, visit the WeWriWa blog!
See you next week!
