Where she makes a decision…

Previously on Sunday Snippets: Delaney received a rather terse note from her husband, instructing her to dress appropriately for an evening out.

“It appears I have been summoned.”

Delaney crumpled the note in her hands, took a deep breath and counted to twenty, but somehow even that didn’t calm the anger welling up in her.

“Oh, that’s wonderful, Your Grace,” Nancy said around the hair pins held in her lips; pulling a strand of hair loose and let it fall artfully around Delaney’s face.

Staring unseeing at her reflection in the mirror, Delaney came to a decision.  Rising from the vanity, she made her way to the escritoire by the window where she hastily scribbled out a note of her own.

“I need you to deliver this to His Grace and bring my dinner on a tray,” she instructed, holding out the missive.  Nancy looked nervously at the neatly folded square of foolscap before hesitantly taking it.

“When you come back, we have some work to do,” she called out as she turned and made her way into the wardrobe.

Not going to say much about this one.  Delaney has definitely got something up her sleeve!  She’s coming into her own here and is not one to be trifled with.  I think Graeme got more than he bargained for with her!

LIfe is going to be a little crazy for me the next few weeks.  Dearest Sister is coming to visit at the end of the month with Fave Niece and Fave Nephie and that means one thing: BABY PROOFING!  Both kids are mobile now and love to get into everything.  Between them, the Day Job and a little home remodel and redecorating, I will have minimal time to write.  Oh, and did I mention that I my contest entry and critique pages for the California Dreamin’ Conference are both due the same day.  That would be this Saturday, as in six days from now.  Thank goodness for scheduled posts!
