Where she makes an appearance…
If you have not read the previous Sunday Snippets, I recommend doing so first. You can find them here.
Previously on Sunday Snippets: Running late for their evening out, Graeme is impatiently pacing the foyer for Delaney to arrive.

Finally – a full quarter hour after they were scheduled to leave – the sound of female voices was heard drifting down the stairs, and Graeme turned to see his wife descending.
Covered from neck to toe in an ivory, ermine lined cloak, she fairly floated down the grand staircase, only the gold hem of her gown and the toe of her slippers daring to peek out from beneath. Her honey-gold hair had been artfully curled and arranged on her head with a single coil left to hang over her left shoulder.
Graeme felt his mouth go dry at the sight before him and feared his jaw was hanging open. Yet he stood motionless, unable to move a muscle, not even for the sake of pride.
She settled into a deep curtsy, lowering her face, but not before he caught the half smile on her lips. Taking her outstretched hand he helped her rise, bowing over her slender fingers, relishing the warmth that seeped through the thin kid skin glove.
“I’m sorry to have kept you waiting, Your Grace,” she said in her smooth, sultry voice, “I hope I meet your expectations tonight.”

To quote Fave Nephie “Uh-oh!”
Apparently Graeme is not immune to the charms of his wife. Though to be honest, at this point in time, he hasn’t really seen the charms of his wife since she had previously been recovering from her incident in the alley. But don’t count Delaney out just yet, she isn’t quite as meek and acquiescing as she appears. This is a battle of wills, and they are both settling in for a long fight. Who do you think will come out on top?
Last weekend was a little crazy, but I did it! Deadlines were met and manuscript pages were turned in. And as soon as I hit send, my brain started to work and I decided – again – to scrap the whole thing and start over. For some reason, I just can’t seem to get it right. But this time I think I have finally done it! All the plot holes fixed, all the missing pieces found. It is finally starting to come together in a way that makes sense outside of my own head. YAY!! Too bad it didn’t happen before I turned in my pages for my editor appointment. :/
This morning I have a special treat in store and can’t wait to blog about it later in the week. Make sure to stop by so you can read all about it!
