Where she wakes up…
If you have not read the previous Sunday Snuppets, I recommend doing so first. You can find them here.

More rain.
The steady tapping against the window woke Delaney, and she opened her eyes to the dark. The bed hangings were drawn tight so no light shone through, and since she had no desire to leave the warm cocoon of her bed to check the clock on the mantle, she had no way to tell if it was morning or not.
There was a heavy sigh and the bed shifted behind her. She stiffened as an arm reached around her waist and pulled her back against a warm body – a warm naked body – before she recalled that her husband shared her bed.
“Good morning,” his deep voice rumbled as his lips pressed against the back of her neck, tickling where a night’s worth of beard rasped gently against her skin.
She shivered, recalling their actions from the night before, and nestled closer to him, luxuriating in the heat his body gave off.
“More rain,” he groaned. “What shall we do with ourselves when it’s too wet to venture out?”
“Do you read minds now, Your Grace?” she asked, her tone light and teasing.
“Only yours, my dear,” he responded, flexing his arm against her until she rolled to her back, and he pressed a kiss to her lips.

This bit takes place shortly after the trip to he theatre Delaney and Graeme have obviously made up from their quarrel and are working their way to actually speaking to each other when something isn’t right. Well, that’s the plan anyway. :)
After a week of life getting in the way, I’ve resumed my weekly posting. I decided to giv you guys a little something new to read. Yes, I know I left you hanging with that last section, but I can’t give away the juicy bits before the book is published!
As always, comments are more than welcome. For more wonderful snippets by wonderful writers, be sure to stop by the Weekend Writing Warriors blog, and the Snippet Sunday facebook page.
Happy reading and I’ll see you next week!
