Cover Reveal and a Good Read

Good morning, Friends!

I’m blogging again as part of the Romance Writers Weekly blog hop. This week’s topic is about the best book I’ve read recently. I’m sad to report that I haven’t done much reading since I’ve been writing so much. There have been a few highly anticipated books that I’m putting off until Worth is done so I can truly enjoy them. I think the last book I actually read was Marrying WInterborne by Lisa Kleypas, and that was sometime back in March. There is just something so fresh and lovely about that story. Personally, I think it’s Rhys Winterborne. Gruff, powerful, takes no crap from anyone, but is such a softy when it comes to Helen… <sigh> I love rough around the edges heroes.

Not only are the story and characters wonderful, but the way its written is so lovely. I can only hope to one day have such a masterful command of language. But, like all art, that will come in time.

And now, without further delay, I present…

Led to believe her high-spirited nature chased away her first love, Lady Maxine Pearson bent to family demand, cultivating a facade of docile, boring perfection. But after four seasons without a single offer of marriage, she realizes perfection is decidedly overrated. Desperate to escape the cage of her own making, Maxine seizes the opportunity to travel to her cousin’s wedding scandalously alone.

Adam Hawkins always dreamed of marrying Lady Maxine, though he knew she was far above his reach. Even when the point was beaten into him, Adam he refused to accept the that a knight’s son would never be good enough for an earl’s daughter. Now six years later, he has returned with the wealth, influence, and title to prove his worth.

When Maxine’s act of rebellion leaves her stranded, she has no choice but to accept help from the man who broke her heart, giving Adam the perfect opportunity to win it back. As passion flares, discovery by her family has Maxine falling back into the role as obedient daughter, leaving Adam to show her their second chance at love is worth fighting for.

Not only is the cover now out in the world, you can now preorder Worth on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, with Kobo and iBooks coming soon!
