Sunday Snippet #51

Where she replays the moment…

Previously on Sunday Snippets: Delaney, thoroughly kissed by her husband, fled the theatre box when he pushed her away.

~oOo~

Damn him.

Delaney fled the box as quickly as she could, hurrying down the stairs and away from the crowd at the main entrance. Rounding a corner she ducked into an secluded alcove to catch her breath, leaned against the wall and yanked off her gloves.

Damn Graham and his kisses for making her feel this way.

Yesterday afternoon had shown her what they shared was no more than business, and in business there was no room for feelings or sticky emotions. Then he comes along and kisses her like that, and all her intentions drift away like smoke!
Oh, but it wasn’t just any kiss, but one that made her knees weak and her pulse race. Her heart fluttered in her chest and she closed her eyes, raising a trembling hand up to trace her lips – she could feel them swollen and sensitive from his mouth, his tongue, his teeth. Heat crept up her neck into her cheeks as she replayed the kiss.
Her first kiss.

~oOo~

Wait, what?
Yes, my friends, Graeme kissed his wife rather fervently in a public venue, while in plain view of half the ton and it was her first kiss. The one she’ll remember forever.
EDITED
Apparently I fell asleep on my computer last night and didn’t finish my post!  Let’s just say it’s been one of those weeks. ;)
I am back from New York and had a wonderful time visiting with my Dearest Sister and the family. The kids are so fun and cute and smart. But it’s a little disconcerting to see them have such strong opinions and personalities. They’re now little people instead of babies! But I love watching them become full “people” instead.
Yesterday (Saturday) was an all day workshop woth Laurie Scnebly-Campbell. The morning was dedicated to character motivation and how it influences plot, and the afternoon was spent on how to write a selling synopsis and query. If you ever get the chance to take one of Laurie’s classes – DO IT! You won’t be sorry.
This month’s plans for a new offices from hold until the aftermath of last month’s flood is under control. Hopefully by September everything will be settled and I can get it done.
As always, comments are more than welcome. Got more great snippets by great writers, be sure to visit WeWriWa and Snippet Sunday.
Happy reading and I’ll see you next week!
