Hello Friends!
Just popping in here for a quick update. I’ve been posting to my facebook author page pretty regularly, but with facebook algorithms hiding most of what I do post, I thought I’d give a quick update.
Sadly, my lovely four day writer’s getaway in Santa Barbara has come to an end. Sometime’s it’s nice to go someplace where you don’t have to worry about mundane things like the Day Job, laundry, trash day, cooking… you get the idea. :)
Even though it may have been a quick trip, I am happy to report I got a lot of work done. In the past four days I managed to…
- revise two chapters in Seduction
- write an additional 2 chapters in Seduction
- begin outlining next year’s Secret Project
- set my deadlines for next year’s Secret Project
- make a NaNoWriMo plan of action–special shout-out to Alexis-Morgan Roark and the NaNo Los Angeles team!
- polish up a writing sample to submit to a writer’s residency
- polish up a contest entry
Mega thanks to Carolyn Anthony for coming with me, helping plot and brainstorm some ideas, getting über excited when things worked out, and keeping me awake when all I wanted was to sleep. Oh, and inspiring me to drag my sleepy butt out of bed at 5am to walk over 2 miles on the treadmill.
